Peter Pan at Dunstable Grove Theatre

What a sparkling event the press night was at The Grove Theatre, Dunstable last night and oh what a panto!

Peter Pan starring Strictly’s A J Pritchard, Swashbuckle’s Richard David Caine and Will Kenning, as Dame Smee (yes you read that correctly) who also directs, brilliantly, we might add.

Other pantomimes are available in the area and we have seen them but this is the best by far. Our group laughed until we cried. The action between Smee and Captain Hook is non-stop belly laughs and I saw plenty of grown men guffawing despite themselves.

Peter Pan at The Grove Theatre delivers that panto ideal, something for the very young to the would-be grown ups amongst us and the show not only has that in bucket loads but the very talented voices of Wendy (Samantha Dorrance) and other leads in the cast mean it is not short on real talent either.

So many highlights to choose from but the disappearing marshmallows has to be one, Richard is outstanding as Hook but the rest of the cast delighted too and did we mention A J Pritchard? He dances, enough said!

It is 5 stars from us and highly recommended, get tickets if you can, book early for Cinderella next year also brought to us by Evolution so it is set to be just as magical.
